How are you getting this tracking information, I followed the link from nokia site, I click track and trace, and it just says billing information recieved.
this is actually a good question... answer will tell weather its an hardware or software issue :/ (even tho both sucks lol but at least if it is software, nokia will come up with next firmware that would fix that)
Just tried to find it, cant... But I saw at least a couple of posts stating that their built in mic is not working but headset works fine - so does this mean it is almost definitely a hardware issue?!

The difference between your shipment and mine is that mine was posted yesterday...it arrived in the UK this morning.

does this mean it is almost definitely a hardware issue?!
It's not completely clear; it also appears that the device 'knows' that it hasn't got a microphone since it seems to be missing from the mixer, which sounds more like a software problem. On the other hand, the devices should all be running the same software, and they're not all suffering from this problem....
