I have been following these forums since October when I first heard about the Nokia N900. I just sold my iPhone 3G S today to finance my new purchase. Earlier this afternoon at around 12:20 pm I ordered the Nokia N900 from shop.nokia.co.uk with the express delivery option.
The order went through fine and I received a confirmation e-mail. However it says on it that the anticipated shipping date is 3-4 weeks! This poses a problem since I have to leave on holiday in 2 weeks time. I was told last night by a sales rep that if I ordered with express delivery I would receive it on Friday/Saturday latest Monday. So does anyone have an idea when I can roughly expect to receive it.

Here's an idea mate.
Ring them up give them hell. My N86 they were taking their sweet **** time to despatch until I rang their Head Office & within 2 hours I got a shipping email.
Can't remember the number now but search saynoto0870.com for Nokia numbers & ring the switchboard to ask for customer complaints. Say you were told by sales you'd have it by friday/sat or monday with express! do it first thing tomorrow mate!

Collected mine from the wool shop. Apparently the UPS driver said he wished all customers were like me and put a big sign in their windows for what to do if they're out! I've configured date and time, and plugged it in for a bit of a rest on charge before I start all the work its going to do this evening.
Some of my family got a bit excited when the box arrived!
I think I will ring them. But is it possible for me to get it from the flagship store in Regent Street. I rang them up earlier but the lady said they aren't getting stock until December 4th so im puzzled. I dont mind popping into the flagship store since its not far from me.

Edit: This applies to Flagship Stores only (and the 600units is for Regent st store!)
I ordered mine yesterday and they said friday this week...
Depends on amount of pre-orders they've got left but they did say to me they were expecting about 600units in... how many they have got pre-ordered I don't know!
Update: If you have ALREADY pre-ordered from flagship store you will get this friday, if you pre-order now you will get 4th December
