its actually available for purchase on newegg again for the 3rd time today... for 649... ****ing annoying that they will process an order now rather than a pre-order a month ago.

I just checked a few minutes ago and it was auto-notify??

Now, you're right it has changed again in the last 5 min??

Yes! Just checked after you said this, and mine now shows a tracking number too! Origin scan from Tennessee. By the way, you can cut and paste that tracking number into UPS.com and get a little more info about your shipment.

Same as mine! They said they will try to ship this tonight but they haven't give me any tracking number yet but my card was charged and ready to go!

Posted from my new N900. Yes, I have my grubby little hands on it. It came as a complete surprise. I gpt an e-mail last Friday saying my pre-order had been relased for shipping. But with my original pre-order with Nokia being cancelled by.them, I didn't expect it until the end of.the.month. But when I checked my e-mail this morning. I saw a message saying my card had been charges and it was shipped. By the time I checked the the tracking number. it was already in town and was to be delivered before 3 pm.

I signed up with T-Mobile with a cheap phone (for a backup) an hour ago. I put the SIM carrd in the N900 and placed calls. I had to call T-Mobile to get the data service working. They wanted the IMEI number of the phone. They got it working while I was om the line with them. No 3G service locally yet. So I'm not going to transfer over my Sprint cell number just yet. But it's only a matter of time.

I think I speak for all the people who pre-ordered here and STILL havent gotten a shipping notice - while people who jumped on the bandwagon today get theirs shipped.
