I have an Amazon pre-order from when it went down to 529.99 last week. I think in the future I'll be more wary of pre-ordering with Amazon, I'm contemplating just ordering from NokiaUSA as they have it listed in stock. Are the flagship stores selling them at $649 as well, or are they cheaper? Maybe I'll make a special trip into NYC.

Do you know how much cashback will give you? I know it's like 2-3% but doubled (so 4-6%) for the holidays. So it's 4-6% of the $600 price?

    hey guys

new here, just wanted to tell you my amazon order has now shipped today.

preorder on 22 Sept and never changed the price thats how amazon is shipping out, when you chage the price you get thrown to the back of the line (that sucks).

hope every one gets it soon,

I ordered on Sept 14, got the charge this morning. Shipping soon!

Of course, given the tone of the boards lately, maybe I'll just sell it when it comes in!

I'm wondering if I were to place an order today, would it ship out sooner than everyone else. Amazon seems to have some strange order processing policies..

    HMmmmmmm...

Haha, if that were the case then those of us who ordered 11/20 should be getting it rather soon. =P

Hmm so your sales tax is 8%. My state is 6%. So assuming Cashback doesn't factor in tax it should still be $100 off.

    530 ($500 + 6% MD TAX = $530) - 100 = 430 - 50 rebate = 380.

Way better than my Amazon which is

$529 - my $50 in gift credit - 50 rebate = $429. About a $50 savings. But the issue is if I switch to Dell when on Earth am I going get the n900. Already it looks like I won't be getting the n900 into well into December.. Not to mention Dell puts the charge date on the invoice which means if I get it in Jan. I won't be eligible for the rebate (it's only for purchases between Nov. 16th and Dec 31st). While with Amazon they put down the pre-order date.

    Hmm..

Edit: Wait I did it wrong..Dell has the n900 for $600.

So 20% cashback would only be $120 off. 600-120- $50 rebate = 430. So no real savings at all.
