I have had couple of phone calls today asking about MPD, I had to tell them we cant give any information if you need to ask about your orders from you have to call Southampton as they deliver online orders. We were supposed to get it today but there is a slight delay, every store get it on monday-tuesday and deliveries should start than. Including MPD -www.nokiaretail.co.uk. If anything else feel free to ask, we are allowed to give information

Just to clarify, Can I buy (without a preorder) an N900 on T-Mobile contract on monday-tuesday?
though it was due to go on sale this week in the UK, it's not likely to be available until next week
there's more to the delay than queues of Nokia-lovers swamping the system. Nokia plans to put Maemo on all of its N-series smart phones by 2012, so it has to get it right.
We've seen evidence that firmware updates for the N900 are still coming fast and furious, as recently as today on our review sample
I'm wondering if this is just journalistic Chinese whispers, or if there's some meat to the implied story of Nokia delaying for further firmware updates?

when u recieve yr device TAKE BATTERY OUT AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON FOR 15SEC OR SO, ONLY THAN U CAN BE SURE OF NO STATIC AN U CAN PLACE SIM BATERY AND FIRE IT UP FIRST TIME!!!
Hi I have ordered my n900 and for 3 days still saying 'item not shipped'. Called them today and they said your order is still pending.
Anyone know whether i have a chance of receiving it next week?
Just to add if Orane don't sell this phone can they still send me their 3g/wap settings as I have 500mb of data on my contract?

n900 doesn't use wap but your device will pick up all the connection details it needs from your sim card.

You wont be able to buy it T-Mobile before 2010 mate. There still is pre-order option available on the web site. Once we have it in our stocks that will change to "Order now" or something like that .

I pre ordered ages ago, then cancelled and reordered when the PAYG version was £392.
It still shows 'new' and not 'pending stock' like some, what's the chances of getting it next week with the other pre orders from MPD?
You will have to contact with Southampton. They are not answering the calls due to high call rates. But the status will change once it is out for delivery as the some others got "Pending PAC" status, so probably you will get yours next week too.

Thanks for that RevdKathy. I was worried that Orange may need to have specific settings for the n900. But it should be okay now. Just gotta sit and wait like everyone else.
