Not as of yet. There's an open bug for it

Well, at least they say in the bug report they intend to add support for USSD codes in an update.

What does the code do? If that's the code for seeing your data usage don't worry - there's an app for that!

(sorry couldn't resist)

Look for Personal Data Monitor

Nope.. this ain't the iphone.. there's no need for an app for this or that
(just had too)

What he meant was codes for lets say checking up on remaining minutes on your plan.
eg. typing #646#(on T-mobile US) then calling the same will result in a pop-up which shows you the remaining minutes.

Currently the phone does not accept such codes. But hopefully will after a update

Ahh right. Sorry, I thought that one was the code for telling you how much data you'd used. There genuinely is a widget for that (and very handy it is too!)

As for telling you how many minutes you've used, I believe that widget is still in testing, but won't be long. By the time you get those codes, you'll have forgotten why you needed them.

on tip for this use something like a credit card (or similar piece of plastic) to slide round the battery cover. Much easier than using your fingers.
this tip bought to you by the team who flashed the 300 for the meamo summit

A guitar plectrum works great.

1. Yes, I'm also wishing for a night profile (only GSM on for emergency cases, all other connections and message alerts off). Technically, it should be quite easy to implement this as a widget.
2. What about the "Location" widget? Could that help? Or try maeMaps, my Google Maps UI. There is an addon for the browser call maemo-location in extras-devel which enables the GPS inside the browser.
3. Rip off the back cover (from the correct side it's quite sturdy, from teh wrong side you will break the clip...!), then slap your N900 into your hand - battery will fall out.

Symbian <> Maemo
1998 <> 2005

Symbian had 7 additional years to implement all these features.
I say with nowadays' processes, wait just 1 year and we have all the missing key features in Maemo 5 and Maemo 6 will launch with everything a user needs.
Just consider that Memo 5 is the first Maemo that supports phone functionality and Symbian always was an OS primilarily for phones.
