perkata,
It was fairly easy. I had to down load USB modem:

MY 6700 Verizon PDA is Mobile 5.o. Works great. See my earlier response to this post.

I currently use my Palm Treo 700p as BT DUN with my Nokia N800. I would love to say it works wonderfully but the Treo can be picky at times (every once in a while) as it sometimes requires me to try and connect a few times with the n800 to be successful. Palm's implementation bluetooth leaves alot to be desired. But once it does work, it works well.

Hi,

I have a Nokia 6102i and Cingular. I got it for $30.00 after rebate and contract. I got it not long after I purchased the 770. What I wanted to mention is that I was lost in getting the 770 to log on using a cell phone. So what I did was I called Cingular and they walked me through it over the phone.

It did take almost an hour and talking to a few people, but it was worth it.

I told them I just bought the Nokia phone and I'm trying to send packet data using bluetooth to my portable device. I had already paried them(that was easy).

I had the dialog box already open for the connections. That's Control Panel/Connectivity/connections/edit

I told them the fields I needed info for and they gave me the info. I had already tried using the pre-set cingular info, but it did not work at the time.

The way I see it is, I'm paying Cingular for the data and they have all of the info "somewhere" so they should be able to help.

If I can find a basic phone with bluetooth that works, I'll probably dump my 700wx and just use a basic phone and the data off of the N800.

So, what do you all have that works?

I own 2 Motorola v635 (with Edge) and they both paired 1st time I tried without any hassles as I have read others have had.

Same here. So does the Nokia 8801. Almost flawless.

Oh, and Nokia provides scripts you can download to your phone (their devices only) for various carriers, that have the config settings you need (gprs, etc). I don't recall the location offhand, but maybe searching the corporate site will help.

My old Nokia 6630 also worked with the 770, but I've never tried it with the N800.

This being said, your issues may not be phone dependent. Can you make a bluetooth connection from the N800 to the phone? Can you connect to the web with the phone only?
Depends on what you mean by "connect to the phone". I have paired it, and I see it in both directions (phone from the N800, N800 from the phone), but when I try to browse files on the phone (from the N800) it says "Unable to connect to the device". The 700wx doesn't have a way for me to browse across bluetooth that I can see.

yes, the phone surfs the net great on it's own.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you set this up? The PPC 6700 uses the same version of windows mobile the 700wx does.
