I would really like to know if Seqretary has plans for Google calendar integration but until then...what are you using for a calendar app that syncs with Google Calendar and has a desktop widget that updates when your tablet is online?

I know it's not really an answer to your question, but what I use is the: .... browser.

I keep it open on the Google Calendar, and whenever I want to either add an event or check it then I'll just bring it to foreground and use it.

One of the things N900 is REALLY good at is browsing. I'm still amazed of how complete and fast browsing is, even compared to a pretty new phone such as Android G1. I almost never browsed stuff on my G1 such annoyed I was at lack of flash and even Google's own apps such Documents and Calendar weren't working on it.

Now I can really browse on my phone w/out any impediment whatsoever, and if you're in NYC (for instance) and catch 3.5G, then browsing is really a pleasure.

The browser cant beep me when I am working through the day to warn me that I need to go to meeting/university/pick up the kids and so on...

Even though the browser is great indeed (and I love it!!) Thats why they included the calendaring application.

For the above person, I dont have an answer for you either BUT I have put in Google Calendar the option to send me a sms every time I have something important. Its costly I know, but I dont pay for my SMS since its a work phone...

I just use the default stuff in the N900. Works great, integrates with Google Calendar.

zerojay:

is this the same as the default app on the n810?

if so, how do you have it configured?

He specifically asked for what you use on your tablet - not on the N900...

I used tgo use mCalendar and even though it does all the three things you ask for the google syncing was unreliable at best.

So far Seqretary is the best option for me but the lack of Google sync is becoming more and more of an issue. Unfortunately.

Even though maemo is an open sourced system no-one seems to be willing to make changes/updates to existing applications apart from the oriiginal developer.

Are you saying that you use the default calendar app on N900 ? How did you make it integrate with Google Calendar ? by using Mail for Exchange ?
