Works fine for me. With Maemo Mapper version 2.6.2, I can view that address using Open street, VE street and Yahoo street. Open street is an older map and does not show the more recent rectangular addition to the north. I am using zoom level 5 on all maps.

I once had problems with my google map. It turned out that the .db data base file saved to my memory card got corrupted. I used the file manager to delete that one file. Maemo Mapper then down loaded a fresh map and it worked fine.

If you try to compact (from inside the maemo mapper) the DB 'normally' it will tell if the DB file is corrupted. If you want to try it just go to menu, Maps, Manage Repositories.. , and press the button Compact...

But the proposal from Den should be a good quick try if your DB is the culprit. If you downloaded a lot you can just rename it (instead of deleting it) and later restore it.

I am having trouble downloading and opening a route. When I go to route-download, it freezes and I have to close it. How do I make a route on the tablet then open it from route-open? I am connected to the internet

To download a route you must have an open connection to the Internet. There's another option when you're running your desktop or laptop -- http://www.gnuite.com/cgi-bin/gpx.cgi. This URL will create a .gpx file (route) that you can download to your tablet and open.

HEY! Now THAT'S great! I'm about to take a drive out to Florida from Massachusetts and I could definitely use a Google Maps route like that! Now--is there any way I can have a tool to download all the maps along that route, since I can't be tethered all along the way...plenty of space on teh SD card, mind you. (8GB)

You can try after opening the gpx file to go to file > Manage Maps and download the map with the setting "Along route". You can set there the number of tiles along you would like.

Damn. I think, between the last two posts, this finally makes Maemo Mapper a practical and useful application for me. Up to this point, I could never find a good purpose for this app. Now all it needs is a 3D view with those directions.
