Last night, out of the blue, my new N800 could no longer see the WiFi connections. Making sure that my WiFi was working and even my 770 was connecting with no problems, I double checked the N800. I noticed on reboots the startup sound (nokia tune) was breaking up. Maybe not related, but strange still. I backed up and proceeded to reflash the N800. Once reflashed, I restored my backup. The device would then white screen on me on reboot. I reflashed again and did not restore. The reboot happened normally. I took out all cards and was ready to start over. The device seemed to be working normally, but the first thing I tried to set up (not restoring...I gave up on the backup in fear of a corruption) was the WiFi. It can no longer see any WiFi connections. It can see my phone but struggles to connect to the internet with it. I fear some hardware failure. I'm calling Nokia tomorrow. The closing CompUSA store told me not to bring it back to them. Hmmm...I wonder if a non closing store might exchange it.
Anything else I should try?
