I take it Nokia have been giving you the runaround then as you were expecting deliveries Thurs last week to be shipped to other stores on Fri??
What happened?
As I said, there have been some problems which was out of our control but now everything is fine, Nokia has started to fill stocks. No worries.

I understand that most people are quite tense by now having been in suspense for a long time but I have enough things to keep me busy during the week so waiting till the weekend is not a problem for me.
People who preordered from Nokia UK Online and their Flagship store got them... while online third party retailers like MPD and their customers still aren't lucky enough

I preordered from Nokia UK online shop on 19th October, and due to cockups etc. it's still "this order has not yet shipped", with the latest info being they will start shipping this Friday - and they are charging £100 higher than my original order price for the privilege.
I'd like to know that too - I've got an open order with nokia.co.uk, but if it gets to the point that I can walk into the Oxford MPD shop, fork over the cash, and leave with an N900 before Nokia actually get the thing shipped I may well switch.
Thanks for letting me know about the Oxford MPD shop. I'm in exactly the same situation as you, and I'm keen to dump shop.nokia.co.uk after their atrocious service.
It's tempting at this point to place an order with every major online retailer, and when one of them arrives, cancel all the others.

I feel your pain. I got the same email as most others last Monday, and while many of them got it by Wednesday, I still don't have it. Really down on it now
Collected mine from the wool shop. Apparently the UPS driver said he wished all customers were like me and put a big sign in their windows for what to do if they're out! I've configured date and time, and plugged it in for a bit of a rest on charge before I start all the work its going to do this evening.
Some of my family got a bit excited when the box arrived!
