Fred, Porting Open Office would be all but impossible.
First the size of the application makes it unsuitable for the tablet.
Second the requirement for java would preclude the functionality all together.

Gnumeric works fine on the N800, but Abiword does not, at least in my experience.
Do you know of a way to get that working on the N800? That would be great!
R.

1) I have managed to download some apps and get them working (e.g. maemopad+, FBReader, Maemo Mapper) with relative ease. They are great. Some other apps won't install because they are missing libraries (e.g. canola, gnumeric). So the question is: where are the libraries and how do I get them installed.
2) I read on a post somewhere that there is a place to suggest application enhancements, etc. (I have a lot of thoughts particularly in regards to the RSS reader) and that someone actually is listening. Can someone tell me where that is?
One last thing, can somebody please port Open Office!!!
Sorry if these are a bit elementary but I promise to gain more experize!
Thanks,
Fred
