I just canceled my Amazon pre-order from 11/20, so there's another N900 available for someone else. Got impatient, and contacted Nokia USA and finally got my order to go through yesterday. A quick 24 hours later, the phone arrived via Fedex and is in my hand.
Have to say the N900 is awesome in my opinion. Good luck to those of you dealing with Amazon.
I have an amazon order and they sent me useless reply to my questions that didn't really answer my concerns. I ordered at the end of November hoping to get that 480 price on the n900, but I'm not sure I'm going to get it in time.

Got my n900 today circa sep 18.
The FM xmitter is working nice. some noise floor.
Seems to couple to my mouse cable as an antenna nearby.
