I think now is a bit late. It's 99% certain the largest Finnish online store will be delivering preorders on Friday, and rumor has it that the Helsinki flagship store even managed to stock extra devices today (probably sold out by now, though).
OK, so we're a small market, but it started shipping in the US even earlier AFAIK.
I was thinking that we might try asking tech sites (Engadget, Gizmodo, techcrunch, etc...) to see if they can look into the obviously serious supply issues facing the N900 launch. Obviously amazon and others have no interest in answering us, but perhaps they'll be more forthcoming with them? In case anyone wants to give it a shot, here's some contact pages:

Maybe it won't help at all, but it at least it gives us a way to ask with a bigger voice than our own. Be polite and inquisitive when asking these guys obviously, they're tech bloggers and to them this problem isn't personal it's just a potential story.
