EDIT: That was a bit mean of me - I would love for this to become a reality as well, but the N900 simply doesn't have the power to run a full port of EVE. If you are really determined, I guess the first step would be talking with the folks at Cedga to get an N900 and ARM port and then the folks at CCP to make an ARM port of the client. Oh, and you would have to translate all of the directX 9 stuff into OpenGL2ES. Still even then, I doubt you would have the processing power to run it. Besides, I play on a 1920x1200 monitor and still I don't feel like I have room for all of the text windows I need to have open to play well. I don't think you could even fit a list of who was in local on the N900 screen, despite it's better then average resolution ;-)
I think what might be realistic is getting CCP to make a sort of mobile app for eve markets - say if your character was docked, you'd be able to view the market for the region, and maybe make trades based on your ingame skills. Hell, using the mobile app might even require training up a skill.
was thinkin more of a LogMeIn solution.
anyone tried logmein on the n900 and connect to a computer?
good question - would like to know the answer on the log me in, but pretty sure it will:
a) Not render quick enough
b) be to big a screen for the N900
c) Be verrrrry slow if it did work - although that does depend on connection etc...
Eve online is almost too much for my crappy laptop much less the n900. I can't imagine any remote connection would work well either. The screen is just not big enough.
