I tried for about 6 hours straight to get that Sprint 6700 to work as a bluetooth EVDO modem for my 770. NO LUCK! The 770 picks up the device as a computer by its icon, not a cell phone.
Easy solution! I went out and bought the new A900 Blade from Samsung. Works like a charm with high speed web via bluetooth.
I'm also using the A900 Blade (Sprint) via Bluetooth with my 770...it was simple to setup, and works like a charm - even streaming radio! As a matter of fact, with the new EV-DO speeds on Sprint, I can barely tell a dropoff from my WiFi network...
I have a question about the A900. When you use it as a DUN, what is Sprint charging you? The new EVDO service can track your data, unlike the older system. Are you getting charged more?
Has anyone gotten any further with this? There are some workarounds to get 6700's working with notebooks and other devices, has anyone managed to do this with a 770 and 6700?
if I recall, windows mobile expects any device pairing with it to respond to a service discovery or it won't pair, even of the device isn't hosting any services it still has to respond. I think the workaround is to manualy run sdp on the 770 so that it has a bt daemon running that will respond.
If DUN and such isn't disabled on the device, try reading through this thread, mainly intended for a WM5 smartphone but it might work for the WM5 phone edition too: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ead.php?t=1335
