i was on my lan, so it had internet access, but it doesnt pull any data about local POIs. Any ideas? i installed everything for geoclue, if that makes a difference.
Hostip fails for some reason, possibly because of NAT. Unfortunately there are not many ways to solve that before we get upgraded pymaemo that supports GConf, enabling me to support any geoclue backend in the script.

I've written a little tutorial on how to install and use mmapper and sqlite3 for newbies (like myself). This is still a first draft so I would welcome suggestions and corrections.

    The tutorial is at:

    http://www.datasink.com/n800/mmapper.html

It also covers how to take existing waypoints that you have from some other gps and install them into the POI database.

I still want to add something on using flite and on planning routes.

Nik, try the WINMAPPER applet here http://ioan-web.homeip.net/avraam/files/winmapper1.zip. I use it for large areas.

I using Maeomo Mapper on my N810. Its such a useful software.

However, during my trip, I had used "insert mark" in "track" option. Then when I opened track log file on the Google earth, these marks could not be visible >> how to add mark which included in track log (.gpx) ?
