is this auto-aim something that is implementable in all Q3 based games?

I ask, because if so, a whole host of Q3 based FPS games would become playable on the n900.

Warsow
Tremulous
Urban Terror
World of Padman

to name but a few, but they are all which FPS's designed for mouse and keyboard, and would all need an auto-aim function in order to be fun to play on the n900.

No. If they are using something q3 related, it's heavily modified and not open source

and they are not to my knowledge open-sourced, so they cannot simply be recompiled for the n900. as the ones i mention can.

Am i the only one with issues on the accelerometer?
If i just start a game with device on plain the char spins left continuously, i have to tilt n900 by 45° right to have it stop spinning.
Is there any way to calibrate it? I cannot play with hw keyboard as italian layout differs a lot, we have up/down keys in 2nd fnc...
I know i may change sw keyboard layout but i would really like to play with accelerometer.
On the other hand Bounce is running fine, so i think this is a mess with openarena only.
Any help?
Tks.

Is there a way to turn the accelerometer off in OpenArena?

I can't get this to work.
Here's my efforts so far (i'm linux newbie)
installed rootsh to gain superuser priviledges
typed sudo gainroot in termina
installed using command dpkg -i
1st installed data package
2nd installed the app itself

and i ended up with error 'openarena depends on liggles1-sgx-img however it's not installed'

What am I doing wrong here?

Link the new baseq3 folder to your hidden one in your home directory:
Code:
ln -s /home/user/MyDocs/baseq3 /home/user/.q3a/baseq3
i also tried this (guess without root), did not receive an error in X Terminal, and I do have an quake3-arena icon in the menu, but the game is not starting...nothing more than a black screen...

(before this I installed ioquake3 from extra-devel repository)

i used a plain baseq3 (v.1.11) and modified the q3config.cfg to widescreen and 840*480...

should I use another point release of quake3 (like 1.32) or are there other steps needed to run the game on the N900?

I forgot to mention that I was talking about openarena from extras-devel.
The app starts but doesn't load.
Could it be that theres no opengl es1 libraries on retail version of n900?

here's a paste from terminal:
/home/user # dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/openarena_0.8.1-maemo1_armel.deb
(Reading database ... 25448 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace openarena 0.8.1-maemo1 (using .../openarena_0.8.1-maemo1_armel.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement openarena ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of openarena:
openarena depends on libgles1-sgx-img; however:
Package libgles1-sgx-img is not installed.
dpkg: error processing openarena (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
openarena
