Just got my N900, looking for some apps that are more polished and least likely to lock my N900 up. Is the Conversations widget helpful?

Doesn't work for me. No SMS or IM updates for me through it. Just stares at me blankly. Maybe I'm missing something.

It tells you if you have new messages without looking into dashboard. Your decision if you find it useful, personally I have it on my desktop and find it a nice addition.

Anyway, try it yourself. I wouldn't expect it to lock your n900 since it has gotten past testing.

didnt find a better thread to ask this, but I just installed and removed this widget, and during uninstallation it downloaded 4.something MB, then proceeded with uninstall.

when I tried to save a log, it froze up and I had to reboot.

and idea what the hell is goin on here?

it might be a bug that installs a random app when messing around with app manager.

Are you talking about "Conversations Inbox Desktop Widget" from Artem Garmash? I am using version 1.1.1 and work flawlessly for me -- it shows number of SMS and IM messages and also preview last message. Typing on widget start conversations.

edit: didn't check date of first post ...
