Ugh. My order from 11/5 was also just delayed to 1/20/10.
I really shouldn't have canceled my Amazon pre-order from 9/18,
even if Dell had it for $130 less at the time.
I called and after 30m on-hold, the sales person
put an expedite on the order. Hopefully that will help some.
I might be less impatient if my N810's touch screen hadn't
broken two months ago.
Is there anyway all of us who order Nov 5 2009, but haven't shipped yet to get together on a conference call with a manager at Dell?
If 10+ of us can get on a direct call, Dell will take notice and at least provide a substantial discount. Does anyone have direct access to someone at Dell (without being put on hold) + a conference call account?

The ironic thing is that I put in an order with Amazon on 11/19 and that order is on its way. Meanwhile, Dell can't honor their preorders. Personally, I think it is dishonest and I'll never do business with a company with such business practices.
I'm not even going to bother calling Dell. It's a waste of time and even going up the manager chain doesn't seem to do anything. Just going to order it straight from Nokia since they are in stock. Problem is they keep cancelling my order because my shipping/billing address doesn't match. Maybe I just wasn't meant to get this thing...

If there is a sizeable group of us (at least 10), I believe they will take action. Or then again, if Dell is making 0 profit from the Nov 5 orders then maybe not.

I really want to cancel mine but I waited so long, I feel like i deserve to get something out of it and not pay full price. You're right though, Dell has proven to be a terrible company. What a shame, they used to be somewhat reputable. Now their customer service is horrid. I'm going to hita bunch of review sites and give Dell bad reviews to hopefully detract some customers from them and save people the trouble I've gone through. I suggest other people in the same situation as me should also hit them where it counts, their pocket book.

If I ordered from Nokia I would feel defeated since that is why they are not honoring the orders from Dell, so that people cancel and end up ordering straight from them. I rather not ever get one than to order from Nokia.
Well, congratulations to all of you that have gotten your device or are about to get it. As for me, I just got an email from Dell saying that mine has been delayed until 01/20/2010.
I feel victimized by Nokia. (Dell sent them my order on 11/5, but Nokia has refused to ship it to me.)
