    when the accelero show zero g it is at its top (unless it is spinning offcourse, but that can be 'filtered' out)

    Welll... the accelero picks up acceleration, not velocity. Ideally acceleration is zero through the whole "journey". Since the accelerometer is inside (and fixed to) a heavier body it in fact suffers "accelerations" from within the phone itself (like when it is spinning) but that is very noisy...

    indeed,I was a bit quick. acceleration should be constant, ideally 1G, if there is no rotation.
    make a movie and select the top-frame is the easiest solution. or select top 10frames and combine them in a picture to get a sense of movement.

    This is the kind of app that you DON'T use on a regular basis but that you show to your friends in order to convince them to buy the gadget!

    Please leave it in Extras-Testing. I think it's very obvious how this app could fataly crash and brick your device.
