    Canola for the N800 (and the n770) is officially launched

    , I have the same problem installing Canola on my N800 - Application packages missing - libgcrypt11
    Can anybody help with this please. It can't be that hard, I would imagine.

    i actually did. And all I found was 2 repositories - certified and not certified that did not have what I need.

    Did you actually add those repositories to your Application Manager or did you just browse them in a web browser? From the Canola site those should be the only repositories needed to install. You should probably go ahead and add all of the repositories from http://maemo.org/maemowiki/ApplicationRepositories so you have access to most of the applications available. EDIT: If you add the INdt Games Repository you might have to disable it to get the application list to refresh properly, at least in my case I had to.

    Also, try following the instructions from the Canola site.
