Anyone else like me and looking for the cheapest way to get the n900 to use in ireland? i know vodafone will have it sometime but i'd prefer simfree then have to sign up to a contract.
so far the options are pay:
shop.nokia.co.uk and have family in northen ireland get it for me.
551.961 EUR
or expansys for 600+ and from the boards.ie thread on the n900 there's no happy customers with them.
i'm not sure about gettin a US version since no warranty really and taxed for it too.
i got mine by going the , getting a friend up north to buy it on nokia.co.uk for me, route.
I have serious doubts about any of the non-nokia online retailers getting the devices to ireland before chrismas... but who knows what next week will bring.
I brought mine at amazon.de and let my mother send it to me (I wanted to have the German keyboard though). Arrived minutes ago. I don't think it will be available in Ireland before Christmas I haven't seen any ads in the big phone shops of O2, Meteor and Vodafone so far.
