I use my N800 often during bus and train rides.
even tough I have two 16Gb cards, I keep forgetting to put new videos and music on it.
My source for videos , is Mythtv which records favorite tv shows.
My music collection is kept on hard disks and is big.
I am seeking a script to update the N800 during the night.
It will remove old shows , I saw, and copy new ones from my desktop over wifi. It will also do the same with my music collection, by keeping some disks for a week , then replacing them.
Did anyone have such a script ready?

I would like to see a podcast like solution where new content would be read from RSS feed and already seen content would be marked as such on device.

edit: Obviously you should take a look at gPodder which currently at extras-devel. If that contains the needed functionality (i.e. removing already seen content and downloading new based on feeds), you only need to construct the feed from your media storage.
