pdf files dont display correctly

downloaded and saved a pdf file for bus timetables but all the numbers are shown as little square boxes,rest of the color and layout is fine

Add a screenshot
- would be easier to understand what you are describing
PDF's are fine on mine, could be a PDF version issue maybe?

Maybe missing and non-embedded fonts?

The document will not render with Ocular or Evince on OpenSUSE Linux either, looks like a font issue. Works in OSX
