So I spent somw time and merged contacts on my N900 as I also use gtalk and wanted to merge my gtalk contacts with my regular contacts.. however, i just noticed that they have been unmerged again.. is there a simple fix for this?
I was syncing contacts using Nuevasync also and thought that was the issue. But it looks like if you log out and log back into the IM, your contacts will be un-merged.
I've merged lots of Gtalk and skype contacts into my phone ones. I've logged out and in several times too and no issues. I don't use @sync service just direct to servers. Have any of you modified your contacts online but not via the phone? If so then that might be the trigger.
Mine haven't unmerged, but the merged info wont sync with google contacts. Any idea how I can save the merged contacts? just export them? Hate the idea of having to merge them all over if I reset the phone or something.
Example: I had to merge them all again when I uninstalled butterfly for haze, even though I synced with google contacts beforehand.
