Mine plays everything I throw at it.

there is a package with extra codecs that add AC3 audio in movies, and adds support for some other codecs as well

also, there is mplayer, that is another player, and KMplayer, that is a nice interface for it.

They are not perfect, but they play everything. like many versions made by me and my friends of movies, like Clerks, Kiky delivery service, Hoodwinked, Kronk, The chronicles of Riddick, Terminator,etc.

All files I tried were in different sizes and formats, very various, like divx, xvid, with audio in mp3, ac3, etcetera.

They all work very fine.

Only "My neighbor Totoro" was a bit laggy but worked fine after installing the codecs. Hoodwinked also did not have audio until I installed the codecs. Now all the movies I tried work super-smooth, no stops, never. Did not try wmv, though.
