    Here's how I do it:
    step 1: Open video
step 2: Supress urges to poke at screen.

If you follow this two step program your video should play in full screen.

Tap the middle of the screen should go into full screen mode.

If you tap the middle of the screen you'll pause the video.

That's definitely a bug. The screen should stay on while playing back video.

has anyone resolved this issue or has any ideas?
I just got my n900 and I have the default 30 seconds of inactivity before the screen goes compleately black.

    I cannot watch any movies.

Hmm...shouldn´t media player disable screen dim when watching movie in full screen :| Haven't tested but if that doesn't happen then i think its bug :|

    But install simple brightness app
    http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...htness-applet/
You can acces it from top menu (battery icon) and set display always on.

I keep reading "play in full screen". I haven't been around my GOD machine :-) so much but I put up the media player Icon, select video clips, select the movie, movie starts playing in full screen.

I've tried tapping it twice, three times, accessing an app menu (but it doesn't have one) etc. to see this about Playing in Full Screen.

What I mean is I have one, and only one playing state. Can I access configuration data via Terminal and VI for instance?

Kind of like the .profile file for the Terminal, or .mozilla directory for Firefox?

    Is there anything like that?

    thanks,
    f(t)
PS: Loving my maemo and N900 no matter what...
