I have been charging my N900 via USB for the last few days but I decided to try out the AC one. Found out it doesn't work, N900 won't charge with it. USB works so it's not the port. Tried different outlets and surge protectors. Now the question is do I contact Nokia or Amazon to get a replacement AC charger.

hahahhahahah bum bum booom boom bum.. its probably stuffed. NOKIA i presume. Get the warranty claim. But I really hope mine is not a bummer like your. And hope my N900 will be in pristine condition, no dead pixel, no mic issues or light leakage.

    goodluck buddy

i thought mine was faulty at first but it just appears that you need to be firm when plugging it in.

Got mine friday, and it's my experience that charging is a bit hit-and-miss. Regardless of what charger I use, there's a chance it will not start charging until I unplug it and try again.

I've got the feeling this is not a hardware issue, but I may be mistaken.

I've had the exact same issue since receiving mine earlier this month too. More often than not (with both USB/Charger), I'd plug it in expecting the little orange blinker to come on but it doesn't. Only after a few tries unplugging and plugging it back, in will my N900 actually establish the connection.

I don't have that issue, jiggling it around to get it working. Since it always worked with USB when I plugged it in. I've been careful plugging in and removing the charging connection after hearing Texrat's experience of yanking out the female end of the USB connection!
