Just wondering if anybody has heard from play.com yet about their N900.

Has anyone received it?

The website still states the end of the month as far as I know, but when I was on the phone to play.com about payment I was told that it will probably be before that.

Rang play.com this afternoon because I know I won't be at home when they say it will actually be released, but apparently they don't know when it will be there either.

Not sure now whether to keep my play.com order, or order from elsewhere and hope that one arrives before I leave.

I would like to suggest that (if you can) you go down to the Nokia retail centre (Regent Street for me) and just buy it directly from there. I went there this past Saturday to have a look at the amazing N900 for myself....it was my (HALLELUJAH moment, lol)....I asked the salesman if he had any in stock and he said "yes, I have it ready for you to take away right now, if you so wish"......so, I don't know why the other companies are taking time in sending this phone out....but do bear in mind that you have to pay the full RRP of £499 at this store and not the discounted figure (if it is) at play.co.uk

P.S: The N900 is amazing....it was so solid when I held it and it was just pure greatness....lol....the touchscreen was so much more responsive than the iphone's (no i'm not daring to compare anything, just giving my opinion) (i play with my colleague's iphone everyday in the train on the way back ...hehehe).....N900 = PURE GENIUS (minus the bugs and I wish it would get resolved soon, hopefully before I buy one).....
