Is there any way to short the Apps from Online catalogs in "Most recent", "Most popular" etc??

Its really annoying to miss this function. Especially if you are visiting daily and try to check whats new.

Actually not, but I would like to see it too.

For now you can check http://downloads.maemo.org (Popular and Fresh)

There's no such feature at the moment, but you (or some other interested user) might like to post it as a feature request in Brainstorm. Personally I agree that it would be useful.

Can somebody make a request for it?

App Manager must be able to short apps at least in those categories:

    "Most Recent"
    "Most Popular"
    "Recently updated"

Even better, just code the damned thing and submit the patch:

I'm sure X-Fade, and Midgard experts like bergie, will help with whatever JSON/XML/REST API you want to get the data as :-)

I am not familiar with HAM but it looks extremely cool.
What exactly it is? Is a separate app manager or an extension for the current one?

    That would be very useful.

On a related note, is there a way to browse by repository? When I add a new repo, it would be nice to be able to see what it contains.

HAM = Hildon Application Manager, so just what you were asking about.

No I don't believe so, and I agree that would be useful.
