Hello,

I think i am missing some functionality's but maybe i need some one to point me where.

How can i acces my externel sd card through the file manager ?
It does not appear but in the file manager.
If i have a look in settings > ... > memmory
I am able to see the sd card it has 2gb.

second thing i am not able to find don't laugh!
How can i change the default ringtone to a mp3 ?

Hmm, you might have to format the card if it's not being recognized by the N900 (it should show up in the file manager as "memory card").

For changing the default ringtone, go to settings > profiles. Then scroll down. You'll see one for IM, email, SMS, ringtone, etc..click on the one you want to change and then hit browse and go to whatever ringtone you want.

File Manager...

Card will show up if its formatted, it won't if its not formatted

If you're not all the way at the "top" keep pressing the arrow button (upper left) until you see your device name and (hopefully) the storage card.

Regarding ringtone:
don't feel embarassed we all have to learn...
try this:
noobmonkey
Menu, settings, profiles, then scroll down on the left hand side, you should see ringing tone under General, (Under vibrate too!) - doesnt look like it can scroll, but it can

Click that button, and select the tone you want (Again, scroll, even though it looks like it can't)

Well i did not expect a scroll down to be there as for the sd card i think it does not work any more ... rip

Buying a new one soon.
