if we believe that the world will end based on some old dudes- we also have to believe that there were either much more advanced than us(goes against everything and basic evolotion), or magical(goes against everything)
i wouldnt be surprised if its not just an anti recession scam- to get people to live abit and spend on stuff, and not worry about wars/climate change/poloution/poverty/weather etc etc..
and if the world blows up in 2012 it will be either a random event , or an event that noone on earth knew or knows about..

what would be funny was if the day before the mayan empire came to an end the 2nd calender with 2013+ was commisioned but never built.
theres millions of theory's why calender ended but its human nature to a;lways promote the ones what predict doom by misinterpreting evidence and selling it as near fact as they can.
i predict it will end in 2050 as thats when the calendar on my watch stops
I predict the world will end somewhere between 2012 and 9012. I know it's a pretty wide gap. I call it gross prophet margin. (And so does Scott Adams).
