Green seems to overpower the red somewhat. I was able to get orange by providing a much lower green value. Not quite a 'yellow' though.

This seems a serviceable yellow, in my playing:

echo 255 > /sys/class/leds/lp5523:r/brightness && echo 43 > /sys/class/leds/lp5523:g/brightness

I'm pretty sure my LED flashed "red" when the battery got low. It ran completely out due to USB port coming "off". I was too busy trying to delete accounts before sending off for RMA, before battery died, but again...pretty sure it was red.

Hehe, ahh, I wouldn't know. I don't let my battery get that low for fear of going into the unchargeable state.

If i understand right, /etc/mce/mce.ini has a section for defining led patterns for diferrent situations. For lovers of extreme sports, it should be possible to modify these patterns to your liking
Unfortunately, my brain is shutting down, so i'm rather not go into more details than give wrong advice

Try it while ssh in from somewhere else and notice that it stays lit.

Confirmed.

I ssh'd in from os X and it indeed stays lit intil the echo command is re-issued.
