Nice I like my sheep on Wazd's grass. I'll do my wolf tomorrow, and get it posted. I love to see my work in action.

Thanks for the suggestion of OS sounds - we'll go with that unless Annie fancies the task of recording her sheep.

The 'top down' sheep (God's eye view) are seriously sweet. Looks like we may be approaching having a basic level one coming together.

Brilliant work, people. You may all Safely Graze.

Making a top down wolf is kicking my butt. Anyone want to have a try at it? I just can't get it right.

    still no wolfs?
I made a couple of frames of a sneaky one (a running wolf would be unfair for the heard).
It would need some interpolation to make the animation a bit smoother but could be a start:
    the animated gif:

    and the usable transparent pngs

    and on the field:

The grass/wolf/sheep combo is looking fantanstic. Any way to get the wolf in svg format?

not a problem, beside the 'feather' of the shadows and the line styles (easily to fix the first in photoshop). Ill post the svg somewhere 2morrow (someone have opened a garage project?

how do they look scaled down slightly, the ui will be really cluttered with them so big.
incidentally, install "variations on rockdodger" from one of hte maemo repositories

it is written in SDL and uses accelerometer to have a controlled spaceship and lots of rocks around
ie a similar style of game engine to what we are proposing

    worth a look

I was thinking the same, the wolf is a vectorium lupus so is used to be streched, + the entire thing reminded me a bit of the Dino Dini 'Kick Off': an alternative to scale down the sprites could be to make the field bigger (something like 2x2 screens?) ; that would need real men developers to manage the panning and a 'radar map' but would look better on screenshots ( ). An alternativa approac could be to zoom in and out but that is a completely new world of complications. Let me finish my coffee and Ill move on a computer for the svg wolf
