    Hey!

I just got my N900 and it really is awesome and stuff. But I got an issue now already and I absolutely hate it.
I downloaded an app called 'break'. This emulates a broken screen in the entire interface. I wasnt planning to use it heavily, but just wanted to check it. So I opened the app and a 'screenbreak' appeared. After a while I found it anoying and wanted to remove it. so I got into the app but that app just does one thing: ''Add one break in screen'. So I was stuck with two breaks. I got into the App manager to uninstall. But my App Manager wasn't reponding anymore. And now if I want to press anywere near a broken-emulation, the screen doesn't respond. I hear a click and feel the feedback, but nothing happens.
It is absolutely horrible and I cant use my phone anymore now.

As a last present, My phone launched accidentlly and turned my N900 into portrait mode. It ain't that bad cuz I know it's fixable, but I haven't had a restart yet, just to be sure...

I am willing to reboot my device, but I need openssh for that and I havn't installed it yet.
Problem is that I can't install it anymore as my App. Manager doesn't work anymore.

If anyone could help in any possible way it'd be GREAT!
I'm quite a newbie but i just LOVE the n900 and don't want to lose it.

    Thx for the attention
(if something's wrong with my post, please tell me)

Just get to an X terminal(either through an icon or ctrl+shift+x) and do:
    Code:
    pkill -9 braek
    Have fun :)

The app braek just put itself on top of everything else :)

I'm sure you can still turn it off using the power button as well :)

I had the same problem with Break. Just normally turn the phone off with the power button. And then turn it on. Problem solved. Then you can uninstall that joke.

    Thx for the superfast reactions!
    Great forum
Anyway, I just dared to do a lil' restart (wich btw takes a few tries when charged) and everything works fine now. Thanks a LOT and thanks to the tip of the command 'pkill -9' as well

pkill is a regex capable kill

Also can be used simply as a killall process replacement

No because you cannot push the kill button on screen.
Braek really emulates a broken screen very well, doesn't it?
