Hi all, long-time lurker here. My name is Daniel Reetz.

Relevant info: Got my N900 from Dell, ordered on the 25th.

Living in Fargo, North Dakota, USA (as a consequence I have a T-mobile number from another city and 2.5G data only).

Skilled 3D modeler (maya), Photoshopper, and vector artist, if anybody needs anything.

Bought the N900 primarily to have OpenCV running all the time and to play with Computational Photography on it, but I am such a linux n00b I have yet to get OpenCV installed. Also to get liqbase running, it was my favorite thing about my n810.

Have a free album here: www.fakeproject.com
Have a community of people building book scanners here www.diybookscanner.org (can't wait to get fbreader working on my device)

    cheers.

Hi. I'm Sumana Harihareswara, a New York City resident.

I work for the British open source firm Collabora, and my bosses gave out N900s to everyone in the company. So I have a new N900 and am looking forward to making the most of it. I hope to help out with extras-testing, and I can't help but proofread everything I read so I'd like to help that way too.

Some personal recommendations for your device:
    • On your desktop or laptop computer, whether you run Windows, Mac OS, or Linux, you can use the open source Miro video & audio podcatcher and the Miro Guide podcast directory to check out lots of podcasts, then export an OPML feed to give gPodder to subscribe to them on your N900 (instead of painstakingly using the gPodder interface + the web browser to manually enter RSS feeds one at a time).
    • My spouse & I edited a sci-fi/fantasy anthology that's available in PDF and a bunch of mobile versions, including FBReader-friendly Plucker.
    • My spouse invented the game robotfindskitten, which my colleague Thomas ported to Maemo 5.

I hope to find and test more apps and tools to recommend, and will blog about them or post about them here in talk.maemo.org.

Complete newbie to the world of Maemo. Have had my N900 for a couple of weeks now and it does everything and more! Don't seem to have any problems at the moment, am looking forward to getting some more applications on the go so we can really shut the iphone brigade up once and for all!!

Anyway about me, I'm Arnie live in the UK. Have been a long term Nokia supporter.

    Hi From Italy.
I'm a long time unix user and programmer.

My current interest is with asterisk (already seen an asterisk compilation). Asterisk connected to the cellular should be really fun.
