Well mine just went in the bin.

After almost an hour of attempting to fit it, sliding all over the device, trying to get the consistency right of water on the film so it slides on without leaving bubbles and trying to get that damn tiny bit of fluff off the protector that god knows how it got there in the first place, off.
I finally get it on and ive somehow scratched the top near the mic. I hit the wall, scrunched it up and put it in the bin.

Zagg are also clever and try and charge you loads on shipping for the replacement warranty one.

I'm gonna wait for hopefully the company that made my iphone one 'power support' create an N900 one. Or another decent one that doesnt use stupid water and a sponge comes along!

I've been installing decals on vehicles for years & this no different, here is the method I use for decals &/or screensavers;
1) Remove battery
2)Thoroughly clean surface that decal/screensaver is to be applied.
3)Carefully peel backing off decal/screensaver.
4) Lightly spray the peeled (sticky) side of decal/screensaver with Windex (or a similar cleaner), this will allow you to slide the decal/screensaver around on the applied surface during installation to position it perfectly.
4) Then, slightly spray the top of the decal/screensaver (with Windex also so the squeegee doesn't drag) & using a rubber or silicon squeegee (btw-my wife has one she uses to clear chopped veggies that works great), working from the center & overlapping slightly (vertically-long ways) remove any bubbles, then horizontally (from the center outwards, slightly over-lapping also).

The Clear Protector screensaver (an excellent screensaver) on my N900 seemed a little rubbery to the touch, so I simply polished it with a little hi-end car wax, being careful not to get any in the earpiece... Perfect..

Hope this helps you out...

Yes.. if u buy from e-bay in bulk, beware!! . "Clear Protector" or "Invisi-Shield" are the only quality screen protector products that i have used. There may be others, but most dont sell at quanity discount.

There is a lot of truth to the saying; "you get what you pay for"

If you do as I have instructed in the previous post, you will not have problems (or bubbles) with any quality screen saver...

Phantom Skinz is also a good quality product. The plastic they use is my favorite of all the major brands because it's the perfect balance of texture (very smooth, not rubbery) and optical clarity (no distortion).

Zagg's plastic is too tacky (have to wax it, really) and has pretty poor optical clarity. Sad that their product is the easiest to get.

Just my opinion. YMMV.

Hmm ..... firstly, thanks for all the input guys, I think I may do this little experiment later today then lol :P

Anyways, with my Clear Protector, no spray bottle came, and I also dont have windex .. can i just like make a solution of some soapy water in a bowl (by throwing in some dishwasher liquid or something), and then dip the screen protector into that to make it slippery ... ? Will this be OK ?

got my clear protector off of ebay, here is what i did, worked perfectly

1.remove battery/sim
2. wash hands throughly
3. wipe any dust particles off the phone
4. fill a shallow bowl with water, add a couple of drops of dish detergent
5. mix it up
6. slide protector in and pull out
7. put it on phone
8. slide around
9. use a credit card or rubber squeegee to push out excess water and kill bubbles
10. let dry for a few hours

Worked perfectly,
