I installed Flashlight but could not see it on status bar right after installation.
It randomly shows up at one point, I used it for a bit and disappeared again. Reboot did not help.

The option was reliably showing up for me after i installed 0.1. I just let it upgrade to 0.2 this afternoon and now the option is gone (yes, lens cover is open). i haven't rebooted yet..

The program was working perfectly until I updated it into a newer version. Then the icon just went away. Sniff. Please bring it back.

On a side note, would it help to save battery if there was a strobe (rapid on-off) mode option? (I don't know how LEDs consume energy.)

I just uninstalled it and installed it again (from extras-testing using application manager) and it's working correctly for me (and also after reboot).

I tried uninstall & reinstall too, but no dice for me, the icon is still gone.

Reinstalled and rebooted a second time (as I was messing around with a bunch of other apps), and now it works. Cool.

    Hi,

On my xperia and K800i I always had this killer app that let me use the led flash as a torch without having to start the camera..
Why isnt something like that developed for Maemo5? Or is it already?

    Thx.
