Hello N900 users,
I have been reading a lot on this forum about the emulator DrNokSnes. Can some one be so kindly to post a short yet powerfull guide / walkthroug on how to get this installed an running ?

(p.s do you really need to download the sdk and compile or is it also possable to get a compiled one.)

A simple search would've guided you to download Drnoksnes..

And for installing all I did was open X-Terminal and typed:

You have to download Rootsh so you can have root access. After that you type "sudo gainroot" in x-term.
Then you type "dpkg -i filename.deb"

I had to install some zeemote control before it would work also.

so how do i get to the folder where the file is placed ?

I have put the file into N900 > Games/Sness/file

It's linux, so you need to learn the basics first. I would realllllly recommend knowing what you are doing before trying it on the device! - especially if you are considering getting root access.....

I installed drnosness but i got the message
dependency problems prevent configuration of drnoksnes : drnoksnes depends on libzeemote-config is installed.
dpkg : error processing drnoksnes (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigurated
Errors were encountered while processing : drnoksness

So I installed
libzeemote-dev_1.0.5-maemo1_armel.deb
libzeemote_1.0.5-maemo1_armel.deb

Then i install drnoksnes_1.2.4_armel.deb again and i get the same message. Am i doing something wrong ?
