Should I kill some processes, is there any tweaks in dosbox itself?

I have also Bt keyboard. I noticed that there are many missing keys working this way.
paste your mapper.txt and tell us your keyboard layout language on the N900, please

[EDIT] You can try this dosbox.conf for a nice speed bump. Put it in /home/user/apps/DOSBox 0.73 Preferences.txt *Spaces*, Javis? Spaces??

Still waiting on a solution to being able to enter numbers. Without that ability it essentially makes dosbox useless to me

This would be really helpful if you could map the N900 keyboard on dosbox - please would someone be able to look into/sort this out?

Yes, that was a horrible decision, but next version which I'm just uploading to autobuilder will go back to the default ~/.dosbox/dosbox-0.73.conf. I apologize already for the mayhem this may cause

Ok, so rover.sys is up. This is the equivalent of the old nokia.sys file but for the N900 (which has been renamed to selene.sys to avoid confusion).

The updated DOSBox build that can use this file is on the autobuilder queue.

Quick guide: put rover.sys into a DOSBox-mounted folder and use "keyb rover.sys us" to load it. Shift+FN+number emulates the corresponding F-key. Remember there's no sticky keys here, you have to hold it.

Neither Alt is emulated currently (Left-Alt was mapped to the Menu key in the N810).

Updated Dec 30th: solves stupid bug with the , ; . : keys.

You need to get the new version first. If it works in the command line but doesn't in the game then I guess the game bypasses BIOS keyboard services and this won't fix that.

Anyone who makes a new, working mapper.txt for their language layout gets a fast dosbox from me.

    The rest of you, don't.
    [EDIT]
well faster builds aren't so useful atm anyway. .

    http://depot.javispedro.com/dosbox/rover/rover.sys

I put that into my D: drive, they keyb rover.sys and get the following error
"No layout in auto for codepage 858"
    and in terminal i see
"KEYB: /home/user/MyDocs/games/dos/rover.sys: Library file, but no layoutName"

Using a UK keyboard, UK language settings - current maemo5 binary.

... if the mapper is not working for us then perhaps alt_Gr needs to be a modifier
