Just recieved my N900. Now I'm trying to install something, for example the Amazon-widget.

Everything goes well until it says "Unable to install Amazon widget[...]".

Still, it seems to install fine and runs perfectly. It even uninstalls without any problems. This aplies to all programs in the repositories.

After every install, there is a following log-entry:
sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg exited unexpectedly

The firmware I'm using is 1.2009.42-11.

Any ideas for fixing this? Or should I go for reflash right away?

Edit: Nevermind, I figured that I could do reflash anyway and it helped. And to my surprise, didn't even lose the contacts or calender appointments, which was nice.
