While I have this ***** on ignore and cant actually read his post, I can only assume he is whining about the camera quality. With a little tweaking I have found the camera to be very satisfactory. I lowered the compression and play with the iso/exposure based on the lighting and 9 times out of 10 get both pictures and video of good quality.

Anyway the troll has done nothing all day but post either pointless or derrogatory threads so I dont expect this one to be much better.

I'm thinking a lot of these issues are in the Camera App and not the lens/sensor, and might get much better if/when the Camera App is updated. E.g.
    - overly compressed files...this should be a user-configurable setting
    - RAW...I'd prefer this to the seemingly obligatory JPEG
    - user-interface...could use some tweaking, e.g. should not have to tap the "back arrow" to reset for the next picture, should just have to half-press the camera button, like most other cameras.
    - more manual. Should certainly be feasible.
    - shutter lag. Not sure where this is coming from, but it's reminiscent of my Canon G2 (circa 2001). I thought we were passed it by now with current processors.

    Cheers!

    Brad

Today he started a thread called "The OrangeBox Blog aka No Sugarcoating Allowed":

Should I wake up with a headache then all bets are off. For the time being I will start with an easy topic: rules of engagement here.

    1. don't try to impress me
    2. don't sugarcoat your opinion; spill it out let me hear it
    3. if you're a Nokia fanboy, go somewhere else
    4. if you violate my rules I will retaliate
after a mod merged this thread with some other orangebox thread he responded to the mods post with :

Duh, let's go back and start posting again separate threads.
and he still not banned. unbelievable, isn't it?

The mods are more concerned with defending against the raging robot attack:

orangebox is always so negative about the n900. why is this? maybe he is trying to fill the forums with negative posts so people dont buy the phone.

also, who tagged this as a sexually active topic? lol

Considering I just used the N900 for our Christmas pics (yes we celebrate it early) it did a pretty good job of pics and video. Granted if my family was in low light areas and they moved alot the pictures would be blurry.

Why didn't I use a regular point and shoot? Because it's still with my mom in Vietnam. Besides I think the rest of my dad's side of family had enough of those.
