Hi,

I have exactly the same problem as was stated in the first msg. The N900 doesn't find any wireless networks (I have two N900's here and the other doesn't have any problems finding networks). With my luck I guess the thing is just broken, but I'm still hopeful enough to try something.

I have re-flashed the device, but that didn't help.

As a complete noob with linux, I haven't been able to to run the ifconfig in xterm, but still trying. If someone has the time to spare, I'd really appreciate if someone can explain me what "sudo up" -means.

Cheers,
-Jaoimy

Ok, got root access and I got a mac-adress so there seems to be no problem as such in the wireless-module, I guess it's just broken

I'm having the same issue have ever the commands in this list do not do anything.

I dont understand this at all.

Edit - Randomly it's just found a neighbours network.

However the laptop is on me and showing, our network is the strongest ??

ours doesn't show up on the N900,

edit2-

Now no networks are showing up..

This is suppose to be an internet tablet, with range this bad, it is very very bad, standing next to the router it still doesn't find anything.

typing ifconfig in xterminal gives me
Code:
-sh: ifconfig: not found
