I commonly email internationally, including several contacts in Japan, where email is favored over sms. Anyway, in order to avoid spam getting sent to push email, they typically have strict filtering of their messages. Any message I send with the built in email app is blocked by these filters, but turning off the filter that blocks emails that are from "computers that are spoofing cellphone email addresses" allows my mail through.
I never had this problem before when using my N97 and the built in email app. I've tried changing every setting I can think off and nothing works. I figured that the mail is sent to gmail and routed from there, so I don't know why sending mail from my n900 would be in anyway detectable by the receiver. Any ideas?
