I am interested in buying a n800, but I really want to hold it in my hand and play with it a little before ordering one.

I haven't been able to find one in any of the local stores. Any ideas for stores in the Midwest US that carry them? CompUSA is closing their stores here and they are all gone.

Are you close to the Nokia Flagship store in Chicago?

Chicago Nokia rocks. They're very helpful with any questions and have most of the accesories in stock.

I purchased directly from Nokia/Chicago after playing with the N800 daily for about a week.

Have recently read that Wal-Mart stores (beleive it or not!) do carry the Nokia N800.

At least on their web site it is (as April 13th 2007): http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5673671

Maybe their brick and mortars do carry it also.

Hope this helps

I tried Micro Center and they do not carry it.

I suppose that I could try Walmart. The thought of going through their door gives me a rash. I would never spend any money there, but I suppose that just browsing wouldn't provide any money for their right-wing campaign activities.

Now, to find a wig and a pair of those 'nose-a-glasses' for a disguise.

I hear ya David. Wal-mart is the devil. Ergo I buy stock in Costco. Wish they would carry the tablets...

The Walmart website says it's online only, though you can have it delivered free to the store. Says so right above the price.

I should have read the fine print. I sucked it up and went to a WalMart and they didn't carry it. They guy in the electronics section said that they didn't carry 'anything very complicated, like Palm Pilots'.
