    hi,

I dont know if this is the right place to post this but i wanted to try and get some help with a problem.. first of all i'm not massively technical so i apologize if this seems trivial. i bought a blu ray disc and got a cd with it that lets me download the film on to my computer. so i downloaded it to media player, and then i put it on my N900, but when i try and play it it says unable to play media file, copyright protected. does that mean the only program i can use to pplay it is windows media pplayer? as it works on my computer.

That disc is meant for ipods and windows devices. At this moment the file will not work on your n900.

Did you try to look for DRM bluray player on google? If you find a program, look for it's availability on the N900. IMO, if VLC does not play it, it wont work, so try VLC on the N900 or Mplayer.
