Hi,
what I sorely need is documentation about the wherabouts (and possibly format) of the data files on Maemo 5. For example, I want to write a script that repairs double entries in Contacts or Calendar after syncing with Google. Where do the data reside in my N900 and what is its format. At least I would like to be able to delete the data and re-import a cleaned .vcf file.

There are several such relatively trivial actions I'd like to perform on my N900, but I cannot find a documentation where such stuff is collected, and this forum is hell to search.

you should probably better look for informations on http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation , instead of in this forum...

Sorry, Andree, the things I'd like to know (name and location of Calendar and Contact datafiles) are not to be found in the Wiki either... at least not where I can find them.

I'd try the developer mailing list or IRC. When you do get the information, please add it to the wiki.

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?
