When I upload a package to Extras, an entry is created in maemo.org/downloads. The comment that I supply is not being used, so in the field "Changes in version xx.xx" displays what was previously used (my initial post to Extras). What am I doing wrong that my changes comment is not being used? I use py2deb to build my package.

i read some where it reads description from package i think,
editing it on page dont work it just changes back.
i'm no developer but i remember reading something like this on here few days back

Yeah, it reads the package description from debian/control and displays that. Editing fields on the page that are filled by default does not work, they reset back. Fields that are empty can be filled (at least home+bugtracker saved).

Perhaps its related, but its not directly that. My app in Extras does not have new version in devel and still the descriptions etc reset.

There was a thread - which I can't find - which said that downloads/Maemo5 sources all the information (or, at least, the description) from the control file, and that the editable fields in Midgard will get overwritten.

I can't find it now, though; but will poke X-Fade to shine a light here.

Do you know specifically which field it reads? I think I am providing all of the necessary fields in the "changes" file, but I guess not. Or do you know where some of this is documented that I can look for myself? Thanks.
