    hiho

am I the only one experiencing an uuuultra slow media player? I have about 2000 mp3 files on the device and it seems that every time I use the player he's indexing all the time...sometimes it takes a horribly lot of time to just open a title and play it...then again scrolling is far away from being smooth for 10 or 20 seconds...

sometimes the desktop widget does not work, it justs rejects to play the song that it displays...no idea why...

whats wrong there? and is there an alternative? (installed media box, first impressions were horrbile, slow, unstable, and for my purpose (playing music) just overloaded...)

i had some good experiences with canola2 on the N810 but as far as I remember it needed a lot of performance...

I need a plain, simple and smooth music player, supporting tags and album covers and nothing more...

Are you running your music from off the micro sd card? This could account for some of your lag. If you are running it this way I would suggest putting it on the phones internal memory, and see if you get a performance increase.

1780 mp3s at 320kbps all with embedded album art on mine and works beautifully. Tracker took approx 3 mins to index after I copied from my pc into the .sounds directory.

I also noticed that the media desktop widget fails to play tracks. Fwd and Back work OK but hit play and nothing. When it does this I just remove and add it back to the desktop (or reboot).

Bit of a pain, the music player is basic, but the quality of audio is very good.

I installed Canola2, uuh thats buggy...crashes very often (in album cover view and always when I want to change themes), but music playback and browsing is faster than the internal app
